Found Footage: Google's ad, Mac style

Happy weekend! Google may have won some hearts with its Super Bowl ad a little while back, but we all know that Apple is the king of advertising when it comes to technology, so YouTuber allenmonroeiii decided to make a little parody of the Google ad and promote the Mac instead.

Strangely, it actually works -- while the audio is straight from the Google ad (which tells the story of a guy who finds love in Paris by searching on Google), the music serves just as well to tell the story of someone frustrated by a Windows PC purchase. No, this probably won't sell any computers (it's for us Mac heads to laugh at, considering that it was made in about an hour), but go ahead and enjoy it for what it is, and enjoy your weekend.

Typing "I want a computer that works" and hitting I'm feeling lucky takes you to the apple home page.

Typing "I want a computer that doesn't work" and hitting I'm feeling lucky take you to a Microsoft support page.

Interesting....

really? that great a parody?!
its just the same old tired crap where someone makes an ad and some Apple fanboy gets all hurt and stroppy and creates something for his community to remind themselves why they get to be all elitist about their purchasing history.

At least Googles Parisian Love ad had some charm to it.

I thought that was great. And the ending click—I'm feeling lucky. Nice. But thinking about it, getting a Mac is not so much about luck... it's more of just a smart choice.

@balls What are you trying to say? If your saying apple is bad because it's device manufacturers hire children, then you didn't read the whole article. I can't think of any other corporation that goes through so much to insure any quality of living for emplyees of other companys that may manufacture things for their own company.

Yeah, I thought the same thing. I don't see Dell or HP even trying to discover poor labor management practices in countries with fewer workers' rights, let alone changing suppliers because of it. The Bloomberg story deserves wider circulation in order to get PC manufacturers to (once again) rise to the standard Apple is setting as a global advocate for fair business practices.
