Vaja now selling iPad cases

Out of all of the iPod or iPhone cases I've seen, Vaja makes my personal favorites -- I bought one of their cases for my 80gb iPod, and it's still the best gadget case I've ever owned. They're a little pricier than some cases, but the exquisite leather, custom design, and solid crafting makes the purchase worth it.

And now they've introduced an iPad case as well. Of course, the iPad's use chart looks a little different -- it doesn't necessarily seem like the kind of device you'll be pulling out while walking around, and you probably don't need a great leather case if you're just going to use it as a satellite computer around your home (not that anyone knows for sure how they're going to use their iPad yet). But Vaja makes some quality cases, and while they haven't announced all of their iPad options yet (the Retro Slim Jacket is the only one available right now), it might be worth looking at if you'd rather put a little leather on your new Apple tablet.

Customization is not yet announced but likely -- when I ordered my iPod's case, there were a whole bunch of different case styles and colors to choose from. Cost on the one they've got is $120, and they're saying it takes about 25 days to get each custom-made case put together. A Vaja case isn't something to be purchased lightly, but quality like this doesn't come cheap or fast.

I've had my Vaja iPhone case for over 18 months and couldn't be happier. Very well made, durable (looks just like it did when I bought it) and classy. In this case, you do get what you pay for. Just wonder if the iPhone 4 will fit...

I would never buy a case from this company again - the workmanship is horrible. Lines of the leather not cut straight, glue showing, etc... shoddy workmanship all around and a huge rip-off

Vaja is a deplorable company. I purchased for nearly $300 a crystal iPhone case from Vaja. The case arrived damaged and nearly one month after the promised delivery date. Over the next year, I invoked the warranty and repeatedly requested Vaja fix the case or provide a prompt replacement. Vaja refused. Ultimately, they agreed to refund my purchase with return of the case. I returned the case but they did not refund the purchase price. After repeat inquiries Vaja indicated the price had been credited to my credit card but declined to provide a transaction confirmation number or identify the card (the price was not credited back). I have emails documenting all of this. Caveat emptor- Vaja has the worst customer service I have ever experienced and it makes me sick to see respected news organizations promoting their product.

i had a vaja case for my ipod mini which was great - made it look like a marshmallow. but i also had a custom one made for my sony ericsson. it basically made it impossible to pocket.

for the iPad though, it should be perfect!

Vaja continues the trend of massively overpriced cases for yuppies.

Where is the case? I just see the picture on the site... nothing under the iPad section except that envelope bag thing.

Is that it?

I bought a Vaja case years ago for my HP iPaq. The flip lid was a complete wallet for both notes and credit cards. I recently modified it for my wife's iphone by adding padding to compensate for the thinness of the iPhone. She loves it and everybody wants one for their iPhone. Strange that Vaja never emulated this for the iPhone. Neither has anyone else. There are a couple with credit card sliders but no complete wallet function (billfold for those across the water). I will definitely be inline for the slip jacket for the iPad. They reek quality and the snob value is awesome.

I have one of their iPhone cases with the built in flip cover. It is simply the finest case built for the iPhone 3G/3S bar none. I cannot stand film screen protectors but must have screen protection. Thin, but very protective. Slips easily into my jeans front left pocket.

Their all Flash website on the other hand, simply stinks. And currently, it seems to have more than a few bugs.

Dear fellow web developers/designers. Flash is over.

Uh... Apparently the site is no longer Flash. It's not so great scripts emulating Flash.

My bad.
