At 12mm max drive height, I believe that 640 GB is the largest drive you'll get into the mini's internal disk tray. I've personallly only tried 9.5mm drives (my mins all have 500 GB 7200 rpm Hitachi drives).

OK, see, that's what I thought... and OWC's website doesn't mention the mini specifically when searching those drives. It only lists them out as being compatible with the MacBook or MacBook Pro. If anyone from OWC is reading this, trust me, that is a very confusing search return to get every time you search for Mac mini replacement drives.

1TB kit for the Mac mini? I didn't know that existed! Would be perfect for the mini HTPC but for the low rpm. :(

I ordered this exact thing about a month ago, very happy with it, gave OWC some feedback via email telling them how great it was. It's just good to have it all in one package and it was very reasonably priced.

I got one of these last year for my old MacBook Pro, and I've been very happy. The enclosure is up to OWC's usual quality.

But my MB Pro seems to have a problem with its FW800 port. I've blown 3 different enclosures (this one and a pair of OWC 3.5" enclosures, all of which OWC has replaced under warranty.) The common thread in all these is plugging them into the FW800 port on my laptop. Right now the 2.5" enclosure works fine, so if there's a problem it seems to be with hot-swapping.
