Eight cruel iPad wallpaper tricks
Pranksters, start your engines. Gizmodo lists eight tricks you can play on your iPad-owning, smug and self-satisfied friends to wipe the grins off their mugs. They've got a full gallery of options here; I especially like the SPOD screen, and the Wishful Thinking version shown here (multitasking! Flash! VERIZON!!) is quite funny. If you like the Blue Screen of Death or the Bloody Hand (which is oddly reminiscent of a certain scene in James Cameron's last big blockbuster), chime in below -- or include links to your own favorite background screens.

iPad doesn't have a weather app, calculator, or clock app.
April 06 2010 at 6:29 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI don't really understand why people say this. Admittedly, the iPad doesn't have an Apple weather app, calculator or clock app (or a stock app for that matter), but there are TONS of them, many for free on the app store! Bloomberg, accuweather and any type of clock or calculator you might desire and quite frankly, most of them are better than anything we have seen from Apple on the iPhone.
April 06 2010 at 7:59 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyIt might be that since the iPad has come out AFTER the advent of the App Store that Apple is not wanting to be accused of the same monopoly stuff that Microsoft was over Internet Explorer being included with every computer. When the iPhone was released there wasn't any other option. There are tons of apps out there now.
Of course it could just be because they didn't want to take the time to adapt them to the iPad. Apple's all about minimalist design, and aside from maybe the Stocks app, the other apps wouldn't have a whole lot to adapt to a larger screen.
Desperate for iPad related news much?
I can't believe nobody thought up the "slight yellow tinge at the bottom" wallpaper. Hopeless!
okay, basically 80% of people (like 50 by now) who saw my iPad since Saturday "thinks" these star trails on the default wallpaper are "scratches" on the glass pane.
bet Apple didn't expected that. :P
