Either maintenance or new MacBook or new MacBook Airs?
May 10 2010 at 2:26 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyNot true that nothing was updated, the site now shows "coming May 28" on the front page for Canada (and probably other countries) instead of "coming late may".
Just wondering why the Apple Store has to shut down for a price change or a product add. Does any other site do this? Imagine if Amazon took a breather every time it added a new product. Maybe the guys in charge of iDisk run the online store.
May 08 2010 at 9:54 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyIf you ran a store and the entire internet went crazy when your site was down thinking you were adding a new product would you temporarily shut your site down?
May 08 2010 at 10:39 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down Replystore is back up nothing new. its funny how apple can take down the store and half the internet goes crazy. great pr.
May 08 2010 at 9:36 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyIsn't it typically the case that when the site goes down on weekends, it's more of a housekeeping/technical thing? They only seem to release products on weekdays (usually Tuesdays, sometimes Wednesdays).
That said, I hope it's a CRAZY new Mac Pro. Couldn't come at a worse time, though. I was all excited to buy one and they took too long, so I bought a new house instead. Now I won't be able to afford the Mac Pro for a long time.
lol - i love the fact that you were weighing up a house or a mac pro. I only got paid today so just missed out on WWDC tickets - so shall buy a new mac pro when they come out as it was gonna cost £2k for the trip from the UK anyway.

May 08 2010 at 3:59 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyWhy would ever any decent webshop have to go down for new products added, a good system will allow you to add the new products with an effective from date....
