iPhone Bumpers also selling well
Here's a bit of a surprise. Checking on Apple's iPhone Bumpers, the iPhone 4 cases, we see that shipping is delayed for several colors. While black is listed as being available on June 24th, pink, white, orange and blue list July 2nd as their shipping dates. The green model won't ship until July 16th.Apple's iPad case also sold extremely well at launch, mostly because there weren't a lot of options and it was so convenient to add it to your purchase. We assume the same thing is happening here. The Bumpers reminded me of iPod Socks, which were kind of silly. But hey, what do I know? Apparently they're selling very well.

Out of frustration, I have put a site together to provide other Apple customers with an alternative source for bumpers. You can buy iPhone 4 bumpers starting at $5 each.
These bumpers work just as well as Apples $29 glorified rubber bands to fix the antenna issue.

Whilst I can see the desire to protect such a valuable device, I can't help but think that it makes all the fuss about the great design (aesthetic, not technological) of the iPhone fairly pointless, since these cases turn a sleek, great looking device into what looks like a child's toy. My 2 year old 3G is slightly worn, but functionally fine never having been put into a case of any sort. Naturally, I'll drop it on the way home now....

this looks like the case I've been waiting for. better get an iphone 4 so I can use it!
