Power Support Crystal Film for iPhone 4 now shipping
Most (probably all) of you who are or will soon be slapping a case on your iPhone 4 won't have a case that protects the screen from scratches. Well, except those of you with flip-top cases that cover the entire unit. When I received my iPhone 4, I wanted to immediately protect the screen, but the only thing available at the time was sticky films that are either permanently affixed to your screen with adhesive, or require a lot of post-clean-up when you decide to remove or replace it.The screen protector I really wanted was one I'd used with much success on my iPhone 3G: Crystal Film from Power Support. The most appealing thing about these is that they adhere to your iPhone's screen with static, not sticky goop, and they stay put. When you want to replace or remove the film (which you won't have to do often), it's painless.
The Crystal Film for iPhone 4 was taking pre-orders for weeks after the iPhone 4's release, but shipments have finally started going out in the past week or so. If you've been looking for a sticky-free way to protect your iPhone 4 investment, look no further.

I bought the crystal film set from Power Support. After carefully placing one, I yanked it off and discarded it. It is imposible to place it on an iphone 4 and use bumpers. To get it on the pumpers have to come off, and when they're put back, you get air bubbles all over the place. It is much more trouble than it's worth.

i've been using their screen protectors since the ipod photo, and on my iphone 3G, and now on the iphone 4.
if it uses an adhesive, i've never seen it. application is super easy, and the hold is great. they will fingerprint a little, but it's very easy to wipe off and it's fine. doesn't scratch. good stuff.
also, if you like scratch protection for the rest of your device, they have these skins for a whole host of devices, and they are really incredible. the adhesive leaves nothing behind, the coverage is top notch, and the choice of artwork (or even create your own), is really stellar. i've got some classic art pieces on my ipods and my iphone 3g. i made my own for the iphone4. love it.
no, i don't work for gelaskins and i'm not affiliated. i just like the products.
Power support arent easy to track down in the Uk, but i've managed to get my hands on one from these guys.. not particularly cheap but it's probably the best screen protector I've had. It's loads better than the invisibleshield that I used to use. That used to make the phone feel rubber and looked really grubby after a few weeks.

I got an Apple static screen protector free. It came with my iPhone 4 already on and I just trimmed the bottom tab sticking out near the USB connector. Works great!
August 03 2010 at 2:02 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyIv'e used a Power Support Anti Glare Film from day one on my 2g and its been great! Im also curious how the new HD film is on the iPhone 4. Im not so worried about scratches as much as I am about glare.

August 02 2010 at 11:21 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyDitto on ebay 99 cents screen sheilds. I got a few and found them to be just as good as the $20 PowerSupport rip off shields.
August 02 2010 at 10:49 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyThe cheap eBay ones NEVER affix quite right and scratch really easy! It's a fools economy.
The Power Support and Radtech ones last me the life of the phone.
I had a PowerSupport anti-glare on my 3GS and have not seen ANY difference with the 99 cent one I got for my iPhone 4 on eBay.
(take a chance - what do you have to loose?)
I hate these films. Doesn't anyone remember the YouTube video of the Original iPhone in the bag of keys for 5 minutes? No scratches on the glass. The 4's glass is stronger ... I.e. If it's gonna scratch your screen, it's gonna scratch through a flimsy piece of plastic. $14 fora new addiction anyone?
August 02 2010 at 10:17 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyExactly/ $20 for $0.20 worth of plastic?
I am passing on any protection for the front screen for now... being I am on my FOURTH iP4 for the proximity sensor problem! *Really don't need anything else blocking the sensor @ this point. Fix this already, Apple!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
$20 for 2 screen protectors? Pass. You can get 4 non sticky protectors on ebay for $.99 shipped.
