iWeb updated to 3.0.2

The iWeb component of iLife '09 has just been updated to version 3.0.2. Apple hasn't provided much information on what the new 186 MB update will do outside of saying it addresses assorted minor issues and more serious issues when using it to publish to MobileMe, but it's available now via Software Update. So go grab the new iWeb update and tell us what you find.

Note after posting: The iWeb update also cleans up support for searching podcasts and blogs. It requires 10.5.6 or better to run and outside of Software Update, you can download it from Apple's Support Website.

Thanks Macworld UK for the additional information

Never mind, I figured it out. My copy of iWeb was installed somewhere other than /Applications.

I wouldn't give up hope on iLife '11. I would think that they would have to update since some people won't be going to iLife '11. Maybe there's a compatibility issue that had to be addressed and this can be a sign of things to come (soon, I hope). Seems like whenever iPhone/iOS is involved, all other development comes to a halt...Oh well. Look how long we had to wait for an AppleTV refresh!

I like iWeb. It has real promise. You can embed movies into pages, but you can't make easy roll-over/click image changes. Howcome?

Because the roll over images don't link to Apple's Quicktime servers?

iWeb is nice but I switched to RapidWeaver because I don't have Mobile Me for hosting. Getting stuff out of iWeb just wasn't easy enough for my feeble little mind, altough I think it got better with Snow Leopard/iLife 10. (not that Rapidweaver has it's own "pay for features as plug-ins" problems or anything) It has been good for my non-technical help to make updates without hosing everything.

Maybe I'll try it after the update.

Hefty update for "addressing issues updating to mobile me".

Smells like compatibility for the unannounced iLife '11 to me.
