Shippity-do-dah: Apple starts shipping new iProducts

My is also going the Kunshan-->Shanghai route, and will arrive on the 14th in Utah. I ordered about an hour after the apple store went live. Oddly, my credit card has not been charged. Is that normal?

Both of ours started out in Kunshan, China then on to Shanghai and last tracking puts them in Anchorage on the way here to Seattle on Wednesday the 9th. Ordered the first day and starting to get excited for sure.

Getting a 4th Gen 32GB for my birthday on the 13th!!

I ordered my 32GB iPod Touch from small dog electronics so I can trade in my old iPod Touch. They told me today, as quoted, "We hope to receive them and begin shipping during the next 1-2 weeks."

Hmm I wonder if I should flip my 64 Gig touch 3G on eBay, and get a touch 4G. Problem is I got a 3GS...lol, so what's the point.

i ordered mine the night of the announcement and its gonna come the 10th (shipping to ny)

No one has explained what it's like making calls on the iPod Touch.

Does it ring when someone calls you?

Does it get into a state where it can't take calls?

How does the email connection actually work? Is it kind of a push email? What's the delay?

I ordered a Touch from Amazon, and there's no word yet; I assume Amazon will get them at the same time people are getting them straight from Apple, so it shouldn't be much longer.

I avoid ordering straight from Apple whenever possible because they insist on shipping with a signature required, which inevitably turns into a multi-day epic hassle to try to retrieve the package. I'll wait a couple extra days for Amazon's shipping.
