Put your favorite apps on the fridge with app magnets

These are great -- a company called Jailbreak Toys (name unrelated -- I think) has apparently been selling a set of "App Magnets," little square magnets that feature icons for Apple's official iPhone apps. How cool -- I'd love to have a Photos, Safari, or an App Store icon to pin things up on the fridge for me.

The magnets sell for 1260 yen, or about US $15, in Japan. But over on Jailbreak's website, you can get them for just $12 (while supplies last, or until Apple's lawyers boot up their iPads and send the C&D email, of course). I like the idea a lot, though -- I'd love to have a magnet or pillow for the icons of some of my favorite unofficial apps, too.

I don't think there will be a lawsuit. If you look closely, each is subtly different from actual iPhone icons.

They are great! I have had a set of these magnets for almost a year now. Despite their size, they hold a great deal on the fridge.

OLD OLD OLD OLD OLD news. sorry. This used to be my favorite mac site. the only reason I still read is for your features on mac apps that I can't find anywhere else. I recently got sparrow which is ok, and cinch, and the dock thing thats nice. but besides those things....

Yeah, we're working on it... On the other hand, is this the sort of "news" to get so mad about not seeing the instant it hits the shelves? I mean, there's a lot of other stuff that actually IS time-sensitive. This was just something cool we happened to run across and we posted it. If the litmus test is that Gizmodo posted it weeks earlier or it was in Hot Topic weeks ago, then that's just lame.

Thanks for the "Giz" link.
Like others that have written in the past...
I just have to say I don't read anything from their website, so it's new news to me.
Thanks again ;-)
