Zaggmate iPad keyboard case joins the fray

Made from anodized aluminum and packed with military grade high-density padding, the keyboard connects with your iPad via Bluetooth, enabling horizontal or vertical use. Priced at US$99.99 with the keyboard and $69.99 without, Zagg says the cases are "Coming Soon" but you can sign up to get an email notification when they are available for sale. Check out videos of both models below.

I just got one for Christmas (yes, I opened it on Christmas eve...) and I love it. While the edges might take a little getting used to, It's not really sharp, or hurting my hands. With the amount of typing that I do at college, with my iPad as my main computer, it's going to make it MUCH easier. I constantly get the right keys, so I'm not sure why people are having that issue. It's a great product in my opinion, and I'll be using it a lot.

I don't like the sharp edges of the case, the position of my hands into the keyboard, the fact that no matter what Zagg tech says - I can't get the keyboard to give me the correct letters (yes I am operating with iOS 4.2.1), and the fact that the iPad just sits in a slot and tips out too easily. The good things? UPS delivered it to my door right when they said it would . Thank you Zagg for choosing UPS.

November 09 2010 at 5:58 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyThat looks pretty impressive to me. One thing I dislike about every keyboard case I've seen is that it becomes inseparable from the iPad, essentially turning your iPad into a laptop. This looks like you could easily take and use the iPad without the keyboard, which seems like it'd be preferable for many of the iPad's functions. Still, I wonder how easy it is to use that keyboard recessed in the case the way it is. I haven't used any keyboard yet with mine, but I am leaning more and more towards the Apple Bluetooth keyboard. It seems plenty portable, is still a full-sized keyboard, and has the advantage of not being in the way if you don't want a keyboard. But as far as the keyboard/case combo goes, this really looks like a great way to go.
