Add a number keypad to your Apple Wireless Keyboard

LMP Wireless Keypad
Still find yourself reaching for the non-existent number keypad on your Apple Wireless Keyboard? Well, it looks like you may be in luck: Wireless Goodness has uncovered some information about LMP's new 28-key Bluetooth keypad. Running off two AA batteries and made from the same anodized aluminum finish that Apple is known for, this number pad can be attached to the right-hand side of your wireless keyboard mimicking a standard-sized keyboard layout. For those of you who want a little space between your keyboard and keypad, it can also be kept separate off to either side.

We've seen some interesting accessories for Apple's keyboards before like this carved wood keyboard tray, but this looks like this one could be a worthy investment for many people. No word yet on availability or price, but I imagine the LMP Keypad will be available soon as it has already gone through the FCC.

I have used the Apple Wireless Keyboard for quite some time now and have never had a need for the numerical keypad -- but maybe that's because I am bad with numbers. My brother the accountant, though? He could definitely use one of these.

Tempting, if the keys can be reprogrammed I might finally replace my white Logitech S530. What I love about this keyboard are the up/down arrows on the left side which allows me to scroll up and down through Spaces without the need for a key combination.

If only the keys had labels on them... Then it'd be perfect.

How long before Apple will stop them selling these things?

Hey, maybe we should all go over to "change.org" and start a thread asking apple to manufacture a full size bluetooth keyboard....well at least it worked for getting rid of one controversial app. Maybe it'll work for pointing apple in the right direction for making a full size wireless KB.

Judging by the picture on the manufacturer's website, the number keys look pretty small. That's something I don't think I could get used to. Plus, Apple's current wireless keyboard is a bear to type on when you're coming from the full-sized version.

For those that want a BT version of the wired Apple keyboard, don't forget to voice your opinion to www.apple.com/feedback. I usually do once every couple of months on the keyboard issue. I file it either under iMac, Mac Mini, or Mac Pro.

I refuse to buy any keyboard that isn't full size, with arrows, page nav keys, and a keypad. I've been a programmer in my past life, and I actually use all the keys on the keyboard! If I bought one of the new BT keyboards from Apple I'd be tearing my hair out in short order.

I don't understand why they changed it, honestly. For years they had what I felt to be the most user-friendly keyboards of any computer maker. The old Apple Pro Keyboard (black or white) was a dream to type on. So when Apple came out with their midget monstrosity, I bought a MacAlly BT keyboard, that had the exact same layout as the old Apple Pro.

The new Apple BT looks even worse than the old "gumdrop" iMac keyboards.

This is something Apple should have made a long time ago.
There are a lot of MacBook Pro users who would love to have a nice number pad.

Digital Performer user.

Could not live without number pad since it is my transport controller.

Apple just needs to release full-size bluetooth.

Okay Steve?
