Microsoft Office 2011 update fixes bugs

An update for Microsoft Office for Mac 2011 (14.0.2) boasts improved reliability when accessing Office for Mac through third-party applications, a fix for problems with Microsoft's AutoUpdate program and improved stability for Outlook 2011.

The update is available now through MacUpdate, where we were tipped off about it, or it should eventually appear in the AutoUpdate.

Does this update include support for zooming using CMD-scroll? I certainly hope so.

Communicator 13.1.0 Update downloads fine, update install progresses as expected, says it installed successfully, searches for new updates, and finds that it still needs to install Communicator 13.1.0 Update. WTF? And it's not discretely downloadable from the Microsoft Mac website, so the only way to download and apply it is via this busted Autoupdate?

ian, I was experiencing same symptoms. I was expecting my existing Communicator to be updated, but instead a completely new file was downloaded to the Applications folder. Check to see if you have a new version as a separate file.
I'm a mac noob -- expected this to work like windows update. After dragging old version to trash and moving new file to correct folder all is good.

Still no fix for the wkresources file that shows up in the recovered files after a Reboot.

Tried it both from Office internally (Check for Updates), and by downloading the update from MacUpdate directly. Neither of them will install — both say "Office 2011 14.0.2 Update can't be installed on this disk. A version of the software required to install this update was not found on this volume."

The software obviously is installed on the volume (I only have one volume on my laptop); the software was where I ran "Check for Updates" from (tried both Word and Excel).
