LittleSnapper on the Mac App Store and on sale

LittleSnapper from RealMacSoftware is on sale for US$5 until January 17 through the Mac App Store. The app normally sells for $25, and it had sold for $40 before the Mac App Store.

LittleSnapper is a screenshot management application. Think of it as a combination of Skitch and an iPhoto-like application for managing your screenshots.

We covered LittleSnapper before, back when it was released in 2008, if you want more information about the app. You can also download a demo version of the app from RealMacSoftware's website.

I use Skitch all the time. It and LittleSnapper are way more than screen shots. You can annotate. I'm always sending emails with these annotated images to friends who are having trouble configuring stuff - the arrows work wonders as does the ability to add text where needed. Just snap, edit if you want and drag to your email or wherever. Very handy.

I got it in a bundle before and never thought I'd use it either, but after having trouble with an iTunes movie and trying send screen shots of the messed up section to support with theApples built in screen capture - it's not possible. It comes up transparent. But Little Snapper worked fine.

I can't think of any reason or scenario where I would ever need this application.

"Pixel Perfect Screenshots," as opposed to not pixel perfect screenshots using OS X native screenshot capture method? LOL.. Ok.

It's the management options that make LittleSnapper really powerful. (The screen shot facilities are better for web-sites, but not a huge deal.) Many designers have huge collections for inspiration material (not necessarily screen shots, but also photos, etc... as well)

For organizing and viewing inspiration-libraries, Little Snapper is unparalleled.

I'm really not seeing the value (even at $5) for this app. How is this any different from the native screenshots in OS X?
