AppTrap is the best. The Way to uninstall on Macs? Use your trash, duh. I have when things like CS bundle their own uninstaller--Windows "ugliness"

wanna use your trash bin but also easily get rid of pref files and the sort of stuff clogging up lots of KBs after awhile, while still being lazy and only dragging and dropping into the trash? Apptrap is the way to go. Def better than those Appzap esque ones where you either have to pay or have to open the app... Apptrap is a prefpane and auto launches attached to your trash. SImple and easy as pie. Best choice AFAIC

Oh, and a lot of folks already own CleanMyMac. It does this too.

No way, Hazel is where it's at. Does WAY more than delete's apps, too. Removes duplicate downloads, auto-sorts files, etc. Hazel is one of my favorite apps.

I've found that Hazel works very transparently removing app settings. It does most of my file management too and it is definitely worth the price. The best thing about removing apps is that it simply works, no need to explicitly zap any apps, Hazel just works.

AppTrap... really, I am suprised that you didn't meantion it.

It is a prefpane that auto detects when you delete an app, and asks you if you want to move the pref files. It also lets you see what they are, and lets you selectively delete.

AppCleaner is great, but also great and free is TrashMe. Just as simple as AppZapper!

I second the TrashMe recommendation.

Thirded on AppCleaner, it's much more to the point and free to boot.

I was pointed to AppCleaner http://www.freemacsoft.net/AppCleaner/ as a free uninstall application.

There was one issue where it didn't appear to clear the Application Support files when trying a clean re-install of Picassa, but other than that, it seems to work well enough.
