Wüdskin is a Kickstarter-sponsored bamboo and aluminum iPad case

I like it -- I wouldn't necessarily use it around the house, but if I was bringing the iPad on a trip, I would definitely use it for protection. You have to contribute at least US$150 to the Kickstarter project to pick up an actual case yourself, but if you do so, not only do you get the "discount" (no word on how much it will cost once it's finished), but you'll get a t-shirt, an engraved bamboo plaque, and you'll also be mentioned on the website as a supporter.
Unfortunately, the project has only raised about 1/10 of the $10,000 it's trying to put together by next month, so it may not get funded at all. But if you're interested in the Wüdskin, you can make a donation right now.

That's not an iPad case -- it's a big fat bulky wooden boxâ¦!? A really expensive oneâ¦

Beginning to wonder what's wrong with you on this one. "...bringing the iPad on a trip, I would definitely use it for protection...?"
Really?? Wow!
If I wanted to carry around a binder with an iPad in it, then I would. If this more like the size of the Dodo case it would be pretty cool.

Our case is 10.3x8.5x1.3, while the dodcase is 10x8x1. Yes our case is a little bigger, but we went for maximum protection with the ability to personalize with laser engraving and making it locally, something we have in common with Dodocase.
