How can they prevent this credit from applying to app purchases?

I entered my Canadian AMEX card number and the form gave me no problems. We'll see if they credit me back.

I've been using AMEX for my iTunes purchases for the last two years and just bought my first iTunes gift card. I'm totally frustrated that iTunres doesn't give me the option of how to pay for a purchase and defaults to the gift card credit. Does anyone have a workaround for this?

This deal might apply to more than songs on iTunes based on this statement "A statement credit equivalent to the price of 5 song downloads on iTunes." Seems like the whole point of the promotion is to get you to use your amex for iTunes purchases.

Once again the USA thinks that they are the only country in the world.

Please at least mention that this promotion is US only.

Works with Amex Business cards including Green, Gold and JetBlue.

I may lose out on this one because I have a bunch of credit in the iTunes store from gift cards and I'm not sure that there is a way to purchase a song on my card when I have credit. I'm don't think I will burn through it all before the March 15 deadline.
