I wondered whether I should wait to order my maxed-out 27" (3.4GHz / 2TB+SSD / OK, so I didn't buy Apple memory) until the bugs were wrung out. The SSD lead time solved that (June 21 delivery for orders placed first day). Now I'm wondering if it'll have Lion on it, which sure would be convenient. No way I'd have it any way other than a fresh install.

Just had a moment of nostalgia. Remember when the idea of downloading a 100MB+ file was simply ridiculous? When I looked at the update size for 10.6.7 right now, it just kinda caught me that something sized in the 300MB+ category could be considered an update, instead of the WHOLE software.

Portal 2 has worked beautifully for me.. so you mean to tell me there's more speed waiting in Windows for me?

No clue. I was too lazy to install Windows just to play a single game when I was expecting that the required 10.6.7 would be available for the thunderbolt machines in a week or so.

Funnily enough, the update also appears to have alleviated the issues I was having with my AirPort connection... ping times to my router are now consistently 3-4 ms and I haven't had a dropped connection while idling in hours.

Turbo Mode? Is that referring to the alleged disabling of Intel TurboBoost under Windows?

THANK YOU! I bought an iMac last week and just exchanged it today. I was pretty annoyed since my two new 27" Cinema Displays where flashing to no end. Now its time to enjoy the some 11K ,
