iChair for iPhone 4: A special discount for TUAW readers
The iChair cases for iPhone and iPad are unique in that they provide protection for your device through a two-layer (hard on the outside, soft on the inside) design, and they also have a small extendable kickstand on the back to prop up your device for easy viewing.
iPhone 4 owners were out of luck for a time while the designers worked to get manufacturing ramped up for a case that would work with both the GSM and CDMA versions of the phone, but the wait is over. To celebrate, the iChair folks reached out to TUAW with a special discount coupon code. For a limited time, you can get 25% off of your total order by using the coupon code "TUAW" when you check out.
I recently had a chance to try out an iChair case on my iPhone 4 while recording the May 11th episode of TUAW TV "Not So Live," and I found it to be pretty impressive. You get your choice of two colors with each iChair -- the top part comes in either white or blue, and there's also a basic black top if you're feeling formal. For watching videos in widescreen format, the iChair's kickstand is an awesome addition.
The iChair for iPhone 4 sells for US$34 without the discount. Be sure to watch TUAW TV Live on May 11 for my hands-on review of the iChair, and take advantage of the TUAW discount code for an excellent deal on this case.

It is a little expensive.I got a cheap case.A genuine leather sleeve that combines premium, attractive protection with the ability to quickly remove iPhone 4 when needed. Durable PU leather case that protects the iPhone 4 from dirt and scratches.

Don't buy this thing. I did, didn't get the promised discount, sent them two emails about the pricing that went unanswered. Then sent them an email about their return policy that's also gone unanswered.

I ordered it and got the discount and got he case real fast. My problem now is if the case is defective or not because I am having a hard time to prop it on face time position (vertical). Not too happy with that right now.

I'm leery of trying cases without seeing them first but I was just saying how I'd like one with a stand, so I hope this one will be good! I got a shipment confirmation 2 hours after placing my order, so that's kind of impressive.

May 09 2011 at 11:41 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI got used to it. Every now and then I take my iPhone 4 out of its case to clean it, and I simply marvel all over again at how small the phone really is. It is definitely bigger in a case, but I've dropped it a handful of times, and it absolutely would have broken without it.

May 09 2011 at 11:30 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyLooks a lot like my Otterbox Commuter case, but with a kickstand. I've been considering replacing the Otterbox soon anyway, I may go with one of these.
May 09 2011 at 8:00 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyFunny, the Otterbox Commuter was the first thing that popped into my mind when they said this case had a "unique" 2 layer design that was "hard on the outside, soft on the inside". I used to have one for my 3G, but I've gone caseless since I got my iPhone 4 in July.
May 09 2011 at 9:13 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI went without a case with my iPhone 4 at first (never had a case on my 1G or 3G). But after scratches started showing up all over the front and back glass, I changed my mind. But yeah, I wouldn't exactly call the two layer design "unique." But I like the idea of a kickstand. And my Commuter case is getting a little worn.
