Apple Joins PC World’s Ranking Charts for the First Time

In an unexpected turn of events, PC World has now opened its doors to Apple’s hardware on their Top Power PCs testing charts, courtesy of Boot Camp.

Previously, Macs were excluded from these rankings due to specific testing policies (only stock PCs are tested and Macs do not come with Windows pre-installed) and issues with test compatibility.

However, according to a blog entry detailing their preliminary findings, the iMac equipped with Windows XP performed admirably.

Indeed, these are fascinating times with Macs operating on Windows, speculation about virtualization features in Leopard, and Apple’s devices being evaluated alongside traditional PC hardware.
