iMultiMix 8 USB: Advanced iPod Recording Mixer Features

According to Alesis, their new iMultiMix 8 USB represents a groundbreaking approach as it integrates professional-grade mixing capabilities, three-band EQ per channel, inputs for guitar and line signals, built-in effects, and the ability to record directly onto an iPod, all within one user-friendly device. After recording, syncing the iPod normally will transfer the session directly into your iTunes library for any further adjustments or editing.

This device supports stereo recording at 44.1 or 48kHz, and can record directly to an iPod or a Mac via USB. This could be an invaluable tool for emerging musicians or podcasters who require multiple channels.

The product is listed as “coming soon” on the Alesis website, but according to iLounge, it is expected to be available in the third quarter of 2007 with a retail price of $499.
