BluePhoneElite 2 Exits Beta Testing Phase

I’ve long appreciated BluePhoneElite, a clever application that enables control of calls and SMS through a Mac for compatible phones. After extensive testing for over a year, the latest version of BPE is now released to the public.

The updated version introduces several exciting features:

  • Transform your Mac into a Bluetooth hands-free device,

  • Sync call logs from your phone to your computer,

  • Added support for Symbian and Windows Mobile devices.

It’s important to note that the functionality of BPE varies with the type of phone used, and unfortunately, most of BluePhoneElite’s features are not compatible with the iPhone. However, I find great value in being able to send SMS from my MacBook Pro and Aluminum Keyboard.

The addition of features like Talk-thru (Bluetooth hands-free) makes this update particularly appealing.

For those who have previously purchased BluePhoneElite, the upgrade to BluePhoneElite 2 is available at no extra cost, while new users can obtain a license for $24.95. If you’re not sure whether your phone is compatible, or if you’re just interested in trying it out, a 14-day demo is available on the Mira Software website.
