Safari 5.0.1 Update and Extensions Gallery Now Available

Apple has recently launched the Safari extensions gallery, a development eagerly anticipated over recent weeks. The gallery features a robust selection of extensions from high-profile names like The New York Times, Major League Baseball, Amazon, and Bing.

Additionally, the gallery includes an official Twitter extension, reminiscent of the Ostrich extension we highlighted yesterday.

Extensions span various categories such as social networking, news, photos, productivity, and security. Dive in and discover extensions like Brett’s Tablinks, which allows for copying URLs from all open tabs.

To use these extensions, ensure you have Safari 5.0.1, also released today (available via Software Update).

This update not only supports these extensions but also enhances the accuracy of top hits in the address field and improves scrolling in MobileMe Mail. Notably, the Safari Extensions Gallery has been added to the Safari Menu, just below About Safari.
