Using Plex on a Jailbroken Apple TV: A Guide

It didn’t take much time at all. Just a short while after the breakthrough in jailbreaking Apple TV, the Plex media server was operational on the device.

Currently, it’s somewhat glitchy and only supports video playback—no music or photos just yet. Nevertheless, it’s operational!

Plex serves as a media hub on Mac, aggregating content from various online platforms such as Netflix, Hulu, and Major League Baseball, alongside local iTunes and iPhoto libraries.

Roughly a week prior, we observed the first third-party app on the jailbroken Apple TV, which was a simple weather display.

Kudos to the dedicated developers making these advancements.
