Pricing Trends for Featured Apps on the Mac App Store

With the launch of the Mac App Store, we’ve explored the pricing for some of the most anticipated applications, offering insights into various discounts available. For instance, Pixelmator 1.6.4, known as a more affordable alternative to Photoshop, is now priced at US$29.99, significantly lower than its regular retail price of $59.

Other notable deals include Aperture for $79, down from $199, and Apple Remote Desktop available for $79.99.

Additionally, Things from Cultured Code is priced at $49.99, just slightly above its web price, and Delicious Library 2 is available for $39.99, matching its online price.

There are also several free applications available. Twitter for Mac, previously known as Tweetie 2, is now free as anticipated from recent speculations.

It currently tops the list of free apps. Other free apps include Evernote and Alfred.
