Tweet Directly from Any Mac OS X Location with Twitter for Mac

The latest update to Twitter for Mac introduces a handy new feature for users on Mac OS X 10.6.6. Now, you can tweet directly from your context menu.

Simply select any text within an application, right-click (or Control-click), and choose “Tweet” from the menu that appears. This action opens a tweet composition window with your selected text already included.

This functionality is supported in a variety of applications such as Safari, Chrome, iCal, OmniFocus, and TextMate, essentially any Cocoa-based app that allows for contextual menus, though it does not extend to Microsoft Office products.

This feature streamlines the tweeting process, eliminating the need for copying and pasting. Give it a try and streamline your tweeting process.
