iWork Update 6 Enhances Features for OS X Lion Users

In a move that aligns with expectations, Apple has launched iWork Update 6 today, enhancing its iWork applications—Pages, Numbers, and Keynote—with features optimized for OS X Lion, marking the suite’s advancement to iWork 9.1.

The update, which is a 90.2 MB download, is now available via Software Update and necessitates that users have iWork 9.0 or newer installed to function properly.

This latest version introduces several new capabilities including support for Full Screen mode, Resume, Auto Save, and Versions, enhancing user experience significantly.

Per the update documentation, additional enhancements include the Lion character picker, which appears when a key is held down to display accented variants of the character, and improved Microsoft Office compatibility.

Furthermore, Keynote has been enriched with two new animations: Anvil and Fall Apart.

For those eager to enhance their productivity tools on Mac, this update promises to make the iWork suite more robust and versatile, integrating seamlessly with the latest Mac OS features.
