Lion Sales Hit 6 Million Copies Since July 20 Release

In a recent announcement, Tim Cook revealed that since its release on July 20, Apple’s OS X 10.7 Lion has seen over 6 million copies sold, marking an 80% increase over its predecessor, Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard.

Cook also highlighted the rapid adoption rate of Lion, noting that it reached 10% of Apple’s installed user base in just two weeks, a milestone that took Windows 7 twenty weeks to achieve.
