Deepworld Begins Kickstarter for Mac Beta Funding

During my encounter with the creators of Deepworld at the Game Developers Conference in March, I expressed that their venture might grow larger than anticipated. Deepworld, a 2D sandbox game reminiscent of Minecraft, is crafted by developers with a solid background in software and server development.

However, managing a game of such scale demands substantial resources. It appears the developers have come to realize this as well, prompting them to initiate a Kickstarter campaign to gather the necessary funds for servers and further development.

The team is enticing backers with various rewards, including exclusive servers, custom worlds, art books, merchandise, and even the opportunity to have personal items, names, or images featured within the game.

They aim to raise $20,000 and have already secured around $4,000. Their plan is to dedicate themselves full-time to this project, and the funds raised will enable them to do so.

I am genuinely hopeful for their success.
