Cashsquare: Transform the Real World into a Profitable Empire

Embark on a journey to build your real estate kingdom with Cashsquare, a mobile application that transforms your local environment into a competitive real estate market. This innovative game integrates Facebook and Foursquare to allow players to acquire and manage properties based on real-world locations.

Upon starting Cashsquare, you are greeted by a virtual guide who helps you navigate through the initial stages of the game. You begin by selecting a local landmark to serve as the central hub of your burgeoning empire. With an initial budget of $150,000 and an additional 250 gold nuggets, you are set to start acquiring various properties around this hub, ranging from residential buildings to commercial banks and plots of vacant land.

My initial venture was purchasing an apartment complex nearby, which surprisingly set me back $220,000, overshooting my initial capital.

Fortunately, the game allows you to supplement cash with gold nuggets for such hefty transactions. This feature is particularly useful as property prices vary significantly, with many available within the $50,000 to $75,000 range, ensuring you don’t exhaust your funds on a single investment.

Post-purchase, the game shifts focus to managing your properties. You are tasked with hiring staff to generate revenue. Each property features a unique card that tracks income and expenses.

Revenue is collected at the end of each work shift and also when real-world visitors check into your property via Foursquare. However, maintaining properties isn’t free, and you’ll find yourself paying out regular expenses which can impact your bottom line.

Generating income in Cashsquare is a slow process, mirroring real-time. For example, a typical shift at my apartment complex lasts about 8 minutes and 30 seconds. If you’re looking to expedite this, the game offers an “Advertise” option which speeds up operations at the expense of your gold nuggets.
