Mountie Review: Affordable Tool to Connect iPhone or iPad to Mac

At CES this week, Ten One Design, known for their innovative Apple accessories like Magnus Air, Magnus mini, Pogo, and Pogo Connect styluses, is introducing a new gadget. The Mountie, priced at US$24.95, is available for pre-order and will start shipping next month.

The Mountie offers a novel solution for attaching any iPhone model from the iPhone 4 onwards, as well as the iPad Air 1/2 or the iPad mini, to any MacBook or iMac model released after 2012.

It features a robust rubberized grip and interchangeable inserts, and is available in two colors—blue and green—that are hidden when the device is in use.

Mountie enhances your productivity or entertainment options by turning your device into a “second screen.” Whether you’re streaming a movie on an attached iPad, playing music on your iPhone while blogging, or using an app like Duet Display to extend your Mac’s display, Mountie makes it easy and efficient without taking up extra space on your desk.

This handy tool is not only affordable but also highly functional, making it a must-have for tech enthusiasts. We’ll be providing a detailed review of Mountie in the coming weeks here at TUAW.

If you’re attending CES in Las Vegas, don’t miss the chance to check out Mountie at the Ten One Design booth, North Hall 6523.
