Renowned for its innovative Paper drawing/painting app, FiftyThree has also introduced a stylus named Pencil. Designed to resemble a traditional carpenter’s pencil, this device incorporates sophisticated technology and is priced at $49.95 for the graphite model and $59.95 for the walnut variant.

Previously, Pencil could only be purchased via the FiftyThree website or Amazon, but it has now expanded its availability to both physical and online Apple Stores.

In the coming weeks, TUAW plans to conduct an in-depth review of the Pencil by FiftyThree. One feature particularly intriguing is the adaptive palm rejection technology, which allows users to rest their palm on the tablet screen without interfering with the stylus’s functionality.

This feature has been a challenging aspect for other stylus makers, often with less than satisfactory results. We are eager to see how well Pencil handles this issue in practical scenarios.
