Apple has rolled out visionOS 2.5, introducing a key improvement for Vision Pro users. The update adds a dedicated tab for Immersive Video and 3D movie content inside the Apple TV app. This feature makes it easier to explore and enjoy Apple’s growing catalog of spatial media.

Previously, viewers had to search manually or rely on suggested content to find immersive experiences. Now, all available Immersive Video and 3D titles are gathered under a single tab, creating a more accessible and organized interface.

What Else Is in the Update?

While other Apple devices didn’t receive major changes this cycle, Apple Vision Pro users gained a valuable upgrade. Notably, this release does not include enhancements to Apple Intelligence, Apple’s AI platform. However, the update does include general bug fixes to improve performance.

Apple labeled this update with build number 22O473, which matches the previous Release Candidate version. The consistency in builds ensures no last-minute adjustments were needed before public rollout.

How to Install visionOS 2.5

Installing the update is simple. Navigate to Settings, go to General, then choose Software Update. Select visionOS 2.5 to begin the process. Once prompted, remove the headset to allow the update to complete.

A Step Toward Better Mixed Reality Content

Even though the update lacks a long list of features, the new Apple TV tab is a welcome move for users eager to explore spatial media. As Apple continues to develop its Vision Pro ecosystem, streamlined access to immersive content becomes a core part of the user experience.

Looking ahead, users can expect Apple to expand its catalog and refine its software as it positions Vision Pro as a leader in the mixed reality space. For now, visionOS 2.5 offers a small but meaningful improvement for Apple’s most futuristic device.
