A new leak has stirred excitement among Apple fans. A short video shared by leaker Majin Bu displays what appears to be a dummy model of the iPhone 17 Pro Max. The clip shows the phone being rotated to highlight its noticeable thickness. Although no official specs were mentioned, the footage supports earlier reports of a bulkier design.

The upcoming iPhone 17 Pro Max might measure 8.725mm thick, slightly more than the 8.25mm of the iPhone 16 Pro Max. This change may indicate significant internal updates.

Battery Boost or Better Cooling?

Insiders believe the extra thickness could allow Apple to add a vapor chamber cooling system. This would help the phone manage heat better, especially during gaming or video editing. Another possibility is a larger battery. Some predictions suggest Apple could boost battery capacity by up to 8%.

Majin Bu has a mixed track record with leaks. He previously claimed the iPhone 15 would have dual front cameras, which didn’t come true. However, this new video lines up with other recent rumors. Reports from earlier this year mentioned a thicker frame and a new reverse charging feature. That feature might let users charge accessories like AirPods using the iPhone itself.

What to Expect

Apple hasn’t confirmed any details yet, but the leaks suggest a shift in priorities. Instead of focusing on slimmer designs, Apple may now aim for better performance and longer battery life. Fans can expect the iPhone 17 Pro Max announcement later this year.

Until then, the community will continue analyzing leaks and speculating. If these rumors prove accurate, Apple could once again reshape user expectations.
