Apple has rolled out several exciting new features in Apple Music with iOS 26, offering a more refined user experience and smarter playback options compared to iOS 18.
Liquid Glass and a Cleaner Interface
One of the most noticeable changes is the new “Liquid Glass” design. The interface now uses translucent icons and UI blobs that shrink or expand while scrolling. This design not only looks modern but also clears visual clutter. Tapping the now-smaller icon bar expands the controls again, making navigation more fluid and less intrusive.

Pinning Favorites and Better Controls
A new “Pin Album” feature lets users pin their most-played tracks or albums to the top of their Library. This feature is activated with a simple long press. The updated pop-up menu also puts favorites and sharing tools front and center, while simplifying the way users remove songs from their library.
Live Lyric Translation and Pronunciation
One standout feature is real-time lyric translation. While it currently works with select songs and languages like English, Japanese, and Korean, it’s a promising tool for music lovers who enjoy lyrics in different languages. The new translation icon also includes pronunciation help using English letters, making karaoke-style singalongs easier.
AutoMix Brings Seamless Music Flow
Another highlight is AutoMix, an upgrade over Crossfade. This smart transition system blends songs smoothly, especially in dance and electronic genres. It mimics a DJ-style mix, even though it’s not perfect for every track—especially those with long fade-outs or silent gaps.
A Step Forward in Music Experience
Apple Music iOS 26 clearly focuses on personalization and smoother usability. From aesthetic upgrades to smart playback, this version helps listeners enjoy music more intuitively.
