Apple TV+ will launch Pluribus, a gripping new science fiction drama from Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan, on November 7. The show stars Rhea Seehorn, known for her role in Better Call Saul. This release marks the first project in Gilligan’s multi-year deal with Apple, following a competitive bidding war involving eight major networks.
Apple Backs Vision Without a Pilot
Apple showed strong faith in the project by skipping the pilot stage and ordering the series straight to production. Gilligan formed the partnership after reconnecting with Apple TV+ executives Zack Van Amburg and Jamie Erlicht, the same duo who greenlit Breaking Bad at AMC.

“Jamie and Zack were the first to say yes to Breaking Bad,” Gilligan said. “Now we’re building something new together.”
Teaser Arrives Ahead of Comic-Con
Apple released a 30-second teaser trailer showcasing the show’s mysterious and suspenseful tone. The timing builds anticipation ahead of Apple’s promotional campaign at San Diego Comic-Con.
Reports say each episode carries a budget of over $15 million. Although Apple hasn’t confirmed how many episodes will air each season, it has already approved two full seasons. That early commitment shows how much confidence Apple places in the creative team.
A Proven Team Returns
Gilligan continues to work with Sony Pictures Television, combining Apple’s support with his trusted production team. Fans can expect sharp writing, cinematic visuals, and gripping storytelling.
While Apple keeps the plot under wraps, the teaser hints at a dark and thrilling sci-fi experience. Pluribus looks ready to make a major impact on the platform—and the genre.
