If you’re planning a trip to Apple Park in August, prepare for a minor disappointment—the rooftop terrace at the Visitor Center is closed until September 1.
Apple has announced that the terrace is undergoing “some improvements,” although specific details have not been disclosed. The upgrade aims to enhance the visitor experience, but the company has not provided a timeline beyond the September reopening.

A Popular Spot on Hold
The rooftop terrace has long been a favorite for Apple fans and tourists. With its sweeping views of Apple Park’s campus—including more than 9,000 native and drought-tolerant trees—it offers a peaceful space to relax and enjoy the landscape.
Visitors normally access the terrace via stairs or an elevator and can sit at tables or lounge in chairs while taking in the scenery. The terrace is part of the Apple Park Visitor Center, which opened in November 2017.
What Else You Can Still Enjoy
Despite the temporary closure, the Visitor Center remains open. Guests can explore a dedicated Apple Store that sells both regular products and exclusive Apple-branded merchandise. There’s also a cafe on-site and a striking public art installation called Mirage.
A notice about the rooftop closure recently appeared on the Apple Park Visitor Center webpage. While the short-term closure may affect some visitors’ plans, the improvements hint at a better experience in the near future.
Looking Ahead
For now, those visiting Cupertino this August will have to enjoy Apple Park from ground level. But come September, the rooftop terrace will once again welcome guests—with hopefully an even better view than before.
