Apple is opening its latest retail store in Shenzhen’s Qianhai Yifang City on August 16, 2025, marking its third outlet in the city. The timing is notable since the launch follows the recent closure of Apple’s Parkland Store in Dalian. As a result, the company appears to be shifting its focus toward regions with stronger engagement and closer ties to Apple’s research and manufacturing hubs.
Designed with Sustainability in Mind
The new location also highlights Apple’s commitment to eco-friendly design. For instance, the store integrates natural ventilation systems, wooden frames, and plant-based materials. These features reduce the environmental impact and, at the same time, support Apple’s long-term goal of carbon neutrality.

Experiences Beyond Shopping
In addition, the store is not just a place to buy devices. It will also serve as a learning and creative hub. To celebrate the launch, Apple is introducing a full Today at Apple schedule, which includes hands-on sessions, parent-child workshops, and summer camps. Consequently, customers can explore Apple products while developing new skills and engaging more deeply with the brand.
Strengthening Presence in China
This opening builds on the success of Apple’s MixC Shenzhen store, which debuted in 2023. With this addition, Apple now has five stores in Shenzhen and Guangdong combined. Moreover, the move comes at a favorable time, as iPhone sales in China have recently rebounded after years of decline.
Customer Connection at the Core
Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Retail and People, emphasized the importance of customer engagement. She explained that Chinese customers are deeply passionate about technology. Therefore, the new Shenzhen store will provide them with more ways to achieve their goals using Apple’s innovative tools.
