Apple launched the seventh developer betas for iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS Tahoe 26, watchOS 26, tvOS 26, and visionOS 26. These updates move the company closer to its planned fall release, which should align with Apple’s iPhone event in September.
The new builds arrived just one week after beta 6 on August 11. On August 14, Apple also pushed out a smaller iOS 26 build. The quick pace shows that Apple is working hard to finalize features and fix bugs before launch.

Key Features and System Improvements
Apple added its Liquid Glass interface, a new design with layered transparency across apps and menus. iOS 26 also delivers better battery management, refinements to the camera app, and fresh AirPods features. The company expanded ChatGPT integration as well.
iPadOS 26 now boosts productivity with improved Files app tools, a built-in Preview feature, and smoother window management. macOS Tahoe 26 adds the Phone app to Mac, introduces Clipboard History, and upgrades Spotlight search for faster results.
Other changes include new ringtones, smoother animations, and smarter notifications. Apple Watch gains new health updates, including changes to blood oxygen tracking.
Public Access and Safety
Apple recommends that most users stick with the public betas. Developer builds often cause crashes or data loss, making them risky for everyday use.
As September draws near, Apple plans to unveil these updates alongside its new iPhones. With beta 7 out, the company has entered the final testing stage, preparing for a polished public launch.
