Apple TV+ has released the trailer for its latest thriller The Savant, starring Academy Award–winner Jessica Chastain. The limited series follows an undercover investigator, known only as “the Savant,” who infiltrates online hate groups in an effort to stop violent attacks before they occur.
Chastain, recognized for her performances in Interstellar, The Martian, and Scenes from a Marriage, steps into one of her most intense roles yet. The eight-episode drama highlights both the dangers of digital extremism and the resilience of those who fight against it.
A Strong Supporting Cast
Joining Chastain is a talented ensemble, including Nnamdi Asomugha, Cole Doman, Jordana Spiro, Trinity Lee Shirley, and Toussaint Francois Battiste. Actor Pablo Schreiber will also appear in a guest role.
The first two episodes debut on September 26, with new episodes dropping each Friday through November 7. This release strategy mirrors other Apple TV+ originals, keeping audiences engaged over several weeks.
Expanding Apple TV+’s Thriller Lineup
The Savant adds to Apple TV+’s growing catalog of suspense-driven series, which includes Slow Horses and the neo-noir thriller Highest 2 Lowest. Another thriller, Down Cemetery Road, is also scheduled to premiere in October, underscoring Apple’s commitment to the genre.
