With Apple’s iPhone 17 launch set for September 9, speculation about its accessories is heating up. A recent leak from Majin Bu, a well-known but often-questioned leaker, shows alleged TechWoven cases with an unusual design. The shared image features five stacked cases, all sporting extra holes at the base.
The cases appear to have the same fabric-like texture shown in previous “TechWoven” leaks. However, what drew attention was the presence of seven holes, including the standard USB-C cutout, speaker grills, and two additional corner dots. Bu captioned the post with a simple but provocative phrase: “Too many holes.”

Crossbody Strap Claims Raise Questions
These extra holes have fueled speculation that Apple may be preparing for a new accessory — a crossbody strap. Earlier leaks also hinted at this feature, showing packaging that included references to strap compatibility. If accurate, the move would represent a first for Apple, offering a strap system similar to wrist or sling-style cases popular among third-party brands.
Yet doubts remain. On August 28, Bu also shared images of a nylon strap with magnetic ends. Critics quickly pointed out that magnets don’t align with the loop-style holes seen in the case design, raising questions about the validity of the claim.
Credibility Under Scrutiny
Majin Bu has built a reputation for frequent leaks, but the accuracy of recent claims has been inconsistent. Some of the images reportedly came from third-party manufacturers who often produce case mockups before official Apple launches. Many believe these cases could simply be early knock-offs, marketed as “leaks” to attract attention.
Even so, Apple fans continue to dissect each new rumor, eager for clues about upcoming changes. Whether Apple truly plans to introduce TechWoven cases and a crossbody strap or not, the chatter highlights the anticipation building around the iPhone 17 launch.
