Adobe has officially brought its flagship video editing app, Premiere, to the iPhone. Starting September 4, users can pre-order the app on the Apple App Store, with a full release set for September 30.
This mobile-first version includes familiar desktop tools while offering an interface designed for touch editing. Creators can trim, layer, and fine-tune clips with frame precision. The app supports unlimited tracks, automatic captions, and 4K HDR video, making it a powerful tool for editors on the move.

AI and Cross-Platform Integration
Premiere on iPhone integrates Adobe Firefly, the company’s generative AI platform. Users can design stickers, create images, and even generate video assets with AI trained on licensed content.
The app also makes social publishing easier. With one tap, editors can export projects directly to TikTok, YouTube Shorts, or Instagram. Automatic resizing ensures that the main subject stays in frame across platforms. For larger projects, files can be sent seamlessly to Premiere Pro on desktop.
Tools for Creators on the Go
Adobe built the app with creators who need fast and polished results. It features a mobile recording studio with enhanced voiceover tools, voice-based sound effects, and an Enhance Speech function to clean up audio, even in noisy settings.
While the app is free with no ads, some advanced options—like AI features and storage—will require extra payment. It runs on iOS 17 or later and is also compatible with iPadOS 17 and visionOS 1.0 for Apple Vision Pro.
A New Era of Mobile Editing
Adobe’s move to bring Premiere to iPhone highlights the growing demand for pro-level creative tools on mobile. By combining AI-driven features with robust editing capabilities, the app offers creators flexibility without forcing them to rely on desktops.
With preorders now live and release just weeks away, iPhone users will soon be able to carry a full editing studio in their pocket.
