Apple TV+ achieved a milestone at the 77th Emmy Awards, winning a record-breaking 22 awards across its programming slate. The standout was The Studio, which made history as the most-awarded freshman comedy ever, securing 13 trophies.
The Studio Dominates Comedy
The comedy, led by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, won Outstanding Comedy Series along with acting, writing, and directing honors. Rogen earned the award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, while Bryan Cranston took home Outstanding Guest Actor. The writing team, which included Rogen, Goldberg, Peter Huyck, Alex Gregory, and Frida Perez, also won for Outstanding Writing.

The show’s technical achievements were equally recognized, with wins for cinematography, casting, production design, editing, music supervision, and both sound editing and mixing. These victories marked an unprecedented sweep for a debut comedy.
Drama Success with Severance
Apple TV+ also found success in drama with Severance, which won eight awards, including acting honors for Britt Lower, Tramell Tillman, and Merritt Wever. The series also received recognition for cinematography, music composition, and title design. Slow Horses added one more award for Outstanding Directing, bringing Apple’s total to 22.

Apple executives Jamie Erlicht and Zack Van Amburg praised the wins, noting how the shows demonstrate Apple TV+’s growing influence in television.
