Apple has rolled out a major update to Apple Music for Android, making the app more aligned with its iOS 26 version. The new version 5.0 introduces features like song pinning, lyric translation, and an enhanced Replay Experience.

Lyric Translation and Pronunciation

One of the standout updates is automated lyric translation. This feature uses machine translation to display lyrics in the user’s preferred language. To make it even more useful, Apple added a pronunciation guide, showing how words sound. This will likely be a favorite among international fans of genres such as K-Pop, who often want to follow along more closely.

Pinning and Replay Experience

Another addition is pinning, which lets users keep songs, albums, artists, or playlists at the top of their Library. This saves time and reduces scrolling. Meanwhile, the new Replay Experience gives listeners monthly stats about their streaming habits. It’s designed to help users track trends and rediscover favorites throughout the year.

Subtle Design Tweaks

While Apple didn’t include every iOS 26 change, Android users will notice some small visual adjustments. Certain buttons have shifted from rectangular shapes to rounded pill designs, offering a more modern look. However, the Liquid Glass interface seen on iOS is not part of this update.

Gradual Rollout

Apple Music 5.0 was previously available in beta. Now, the update is rolling out more widely through Google Play, meaning not all users will see it immediately. By syncing Android features more closely with iOS, Apple is making its music service more consistent across platforms, while still leaving some iOS exclusives in place.
