Apple TV+ Extends Charlie Brown Deal Through 2030

Apple TV+ has renewed its deal to keep Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and the rest of the Peanuts gang on its platform until 2030. The extension ensures that both timeless classics and fresh originals will remain available for fans, marking a major milestone in the franchise’s 75th anniversary year .

New Shows and a Charlie Brown Movie

Since 2019, Peanuts has been a central part of Apple TV+. “Snoopy in Space” helped introduce the characters to a new generation, followed by a larger agreement in 2020 with WildBrain and Peanuts Worldwide. The renewed deal goes further, confirming new shows and a Charlie Brown movie currently in production .

Tara Sorensen, Apple TV+ head of children’s programming, emphasized the importance of the partnership. “These beloved characters and stories hold a timeless significance, resonating with people of all ages across the globe,” she said, adding that Apple remains committed to carrying forward the comforting traditions associated with the Peanuts brand .

Free Holiday Specials Continue

Apple confirmed that holiday specials will still be free for limited viewing. It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown streams on October 18 and 19. A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving will be available November 15 and 16, and A Charlie Brown Christmas returns December 13 and 14. While Apple ended its PBS licensing in 2023, subscribers can still access the full Peanuts collection year-round .

For more than seven decades, Peanuts has remained a cultural touchstone. Apple’s extended commitment signals confidence that Snoopy and his friends can connect with yet another generation of viewers. As the franchise enters its next chapter, Apple TV+ aims to balance nostalgia with new stories, ensuring Peanuts remains part of family traditions for years to come.
