Apple is to launch the new Apple TV and HomePod mini later this year, according to the noted Apple analyst Mark Gurman of Bloomberg. It will reportedly not be a major event based refresh but an online and offline-stores refresh of the catalogues. The change will happen on the evening of November 11, as per the reports.

In the recent past few weeks, Apple stores have seen low inventory of  the current Apple TV and HomePod mini models. In reference to the same, Gurman previously reported that it is an indication of product refresh. The new products will reportedly have smarter Siri and some Apple Intelligence features.

The Apple TV and HomePod mini refresh will be the only Apple products to be released later this year. Upgrades to Mac computers have been scheduled for 2026, according to industry experts, including Gurman. The last Apple refresh was the M5 MacBook Air which while being minor, brings major AI processing capabilities upgrade.

The most awaited and sought after upgrades in the Apple ecosystem right now are the Mac upgrades, as the AI boom continues to require that engineers have the highest processing capabilities. While the M5 MacBook Air has been released, people are clamoring for news on the more powerful M5 Pro, M5 Max, and M5 Ultra powered machines.

Since the introduction of the M-series Macs, the PC market has started leaning more in favour of the Mac, as the ARM architecture chips provide solid battery life while being plenty powerful. It is to be seen how the Mac fares in the future as the requirements turn more towards having AI capabilities (or raw graphic processing units for AI features).

Apple has been solid on the hardware front and it will likely continue to release more and more powerful silicon chips way into the AI-focused future.
