Apple is open to acquisitions and partnerships to strengthen its AI offerings. The company CEO Tim Cook remarked to the investors during the Q4 2025 earnings call. He also added that the revamped Siri is on track to be released in early 2026.
“We’re making good progress on it, and as we’ve shared, we expect to release it next year,” Cook said in his opening remarks during the earnings call. Apple continues to struggle in building its AI capabilities while competitors such as OpenAi, Google, Anthropic whoosh past.

In an effort to stabilise its revenue and not lose any reputation further, Apple changed the narrative in 2025 to focus solely on new hardware. The move worked with the launch of iPhone 17 series with its major redesign that has the market clamouring. The company has reported a strong quarter with revenue being driven largely by the iPhone 17 and its services business.
“Our intention is to integrate with more people over time,” added Cook in an interview with CNBC. It was a reference to the company’s approach to integrate various AI models. At present, Siri only uses ChatGPT but that is likely to change in the future with the addition of Gemini and Claude, according to reports by various industry analysts.
In addition, Cook explained that Apple’s approach to AI is slightly different compared to the market leaders. He added that the company is scaling its Private Cloud Compute for Siri requests – it is Apple’s approach to AI while ensuring data security and privacy. He added, “In fact, the manufacturing plant that makes the servers used for Apple Intelligence just started manufacturing in Houston a few weeks ago, and we’ve got a ramp planned there for use in our data centers. And, you know, it’s robust.”
Cook strongly believes that Apple Intelligence will be a major part of Apple’s product portfolio in the future by saying, “I would say that Apple Intelligence is a factor, and we’re very bullish on it becoming a greater factor.”
