Apple TV has officially entered the Grammy Awards, earning four nominations for its hit productions “F1 The Movie” and “Severance.” This marks a new milestone for Apple’s streaming platform as it expands its reach beyond film and television into music.

The Recording Academy revealed the nominees for the 68th Grammy Awards, set for February 1, 2026, at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena. The show will air live on CBS and stream on Paramount+.

“F1 The Movie” Leads Apple’s Charge

“F1 The Movie” stands out with three nominations. The song “Just Keep Watching” by Tate McRae is up for Best Dance Pop Recording, while “Bad as I Used to Be” by Chris Stapleton competes for Best Country Solo Performance. The film’s soundtrack, F1 The Album, is also nominated for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media.

These nominations place Apple TV among top music icons such as Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez, and Timothée Chalamet. It shows how Apple’s productions are competing directly with the world’s most popular artists.

“Severance” Earns Recognition for Its Score

Apple’s hit series “Severance: Season 2” gained a nomination for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media. Composer Theodore Shapiro’s haunting score earned praise alongside celebrated musicians like John Powell for How to Train Your Dragon and Kris Bowers for The Wild Robot.

A Legacy That Started with Steve Jobs

Although these are Apple TV’s first Grammy nominations, Apple’s history with the awards runs deep. In 2012, Steve Jobs received a posthumous Grammy Trustees Award for transforming music through the iPod and iTunes. A decade earlier, Apple had earned a technical Grammy for contributions to the recording industry.

Today, Apple TV continues that legacy through its storytelling, powerful music, and creative vision—proving that innovation remains at the heart of everything Apple does.
