Apple is preparing a major shift in its wellness ecosystem. The company has moved Apple Fitness+ under its Health division, linking the service to its upcoming Apple Intelligence platform. The move follows the retirement of Chief Operating Officer Jeff Williams in October 2025 and marks a clear step toward more AI-driven health services.

Reports suggest Apple is planning to launch a Health+ subscription in 2026. This new service will feature an AI health chatbot that helps users track, understand, and improve their wellbeing. With this integration, Apple aims to simplify how users manage fitness and health in one intelligent hub.

AI Integration and the New Siri

Apple’s Apple Intelligence plan goes beyond health. It also includes a major update to Siri, expected to debut with iOS 27 in June 2026. The redesigned Siri will use generative AI to deliver faster, more natural conversations.

Furthermore, this smarter Siri will link directly to the upcoming Health+ platform. It will remind users of workouts, suggest healthy habits, and provide instant feedback based on real-time data. As a result, Apple hopes to make personal health tracking more interactive and efficient.

Fitness+ Gets a New Life

Since its launch in 2020, Apple Fitness+ has offered a wide range of guided workouts and wellness programs for $9.99 per month or through Apple One. Although the service has not matched the popularity of Apple Music or Apple TV+, it remains affordable and valuable to many users.

Now, under Dr. Sumbul Desai and Eddy Cue’s oversight, Apple plans to refresh the platform. It continues to release new “Time to Walk” and “Time to Run” sessions and will soon gain more visibility through Health+.

A Unified Future for Wellness

By combining Fitness+, Health+, and Apple Intelligence, Apple is creating a single, smarter ecosystem for wellbeing. This approach connects workouts, health data, and AI insights into one experience.

Ultimately, Apple’s 2026 vision promises a more personal and proactive way to stay healthy—powered by technology that truly understands the user.
