Apple has released a new advertisement that highlights the creative potential of the iPad Pro and Apple Pencil Pro. The ad centers on custom NHL goalie masks. It shows how designers and players use Apple’s tools to develop bold and personal artwork. The campaign continues Apple’s effort to promote professional work created on its tablets.
Collaboration Between Athletes and Artists
The video, shared on November 22, features masks designed for several NHL goalies. Designers and players worked closely to shape artwork that reflects each goalie’s personality and team identity. The ad includes masks for Anthony Stolarz and Sam Montembeault, designed by Jordon Bourgeault. It also shows designs for Thatcher Demko and Dustin Wolf by Travis Michael. Dave Fried created masks for Adin Hill and Logan Thompson.

The ad begins with simple sketches of animals and symbols. As the video progresses, viewers watch these sketches turn into detailed 3D models. The ad also displays text exchanges between goalies and designers, highlighting the collaborative process.
Highlighting iPad Pro Features
The ad avoids technical details, but it clearly demonstrates the strength of the latest iPad Pro. The device uses the M5 chip, introduced in October 2025. The Apple Pencil Pro also plays a major role. It offers haptic feedback and advanced gestures that help artists work with greater precision.
These features allow designers to create complex artwork directly on the device. Apple suggests that the iPad Pro can serve as a strong alternative to traditional design tools.
Continuing a Creative Tradition
Apple has promoted creative work on the iPad for years. Previous ads showed designers working with NHL players in 2024. Apple also highlighted the iPad’s role in creating Olivia Rodrigo’s “brutal” music video in 2021.
With this new advertisement, Apple reinforces its message. The iPad Pro is not just a tablet. It is a professional creative platform that supports high-level collaboration and artistic expression.
